If you want the real low down on grants call the national grant conference company. 1-800-648-9195 this number will get you to them. I don't know if they can help you if you don't go to one of their confernces but I know I signed up in 2003 it cost me $1000 I have yet to find a grant that I can have access to. I am a single mother who also  had to relocate. Only my own resources have gotten me a home. It is hard. There may be something out there if you are of a minority then there may be more available for you. My membership is on vacation at this time but I can ractivate it at anytime and shut it off again just like that because I have never benefited from the program. They will always give you assistance in looking for grants until you actually qualify for one. They might give you some good info if nothing else.

Most states have energy conservation programs if you get a house. to help with food go to the church. Sometimes churches can help you locate a home if you ask and if you become involved. Catholic charities have provided housing, schooling, food, clothing and even a car so you can get to work if you are a member. I haven't taken advantaGE OF THAT BUT i KNEW SEVERAL women who did and they had it made! They even got college tuition and daycare paid for.  Good luck in your venture I trully hope your lives will be better.
